TCR #73 - Treasure the moment

Another color palette & sketch at The Color Room....

After digging through my stash of goodies and hours of staring into space...LOL....I did a layout of us at the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA.  I loved viewing the art collections and walking through the botanical gardens.  It is definitely worth going if you've never been.

All the flowers and leaves are from I Am Roses.  The corner chipboard pieces are from Deluxe Designs-I first painted them with green acrylic paint, then crackle medium, and a final coat of white paint.  I did a similar technique with the word "Treasure", but used white paint and picket fence crackle paint. I dabbed alcohol inks on some Thickers to match the color palette.

Supplies~
design papers: Scenic Route Paper Co., Chatterbox
ink: crushed olive
punches/dies: laurel leaf{MS}; large circle set{Spellbinders}; treasure die{Sizzix}
alcohol inks: rust, terracotta
thickers: Daiquiri, Poolside
