DT: Unscripted Sketches~ Hello Kitty

Hi Everyone!  This is the last sketch for 2012 at Unscripted Sketches.  Thank you for participating and sharing your talent with us!  We look forward to having you join us again in the new year.
I used the Hello Kitty paper pad and matching embellishments.  Some of the corners were rounded with my corner chomper.  The chipboard embellishments were adhered with 3D glue dots.  This is my first project using my Hello Kitty stash.  I was able to snag some Hello Kitty goodies at Michael's.  I remember going to the mall and would always stop by the Sanrio store...I still stop by now and then to look at all the pretty merchandise!

DT: Unscripted Sketches~card using chipboard

Hi everyone...are you all ready for Christmas?  Got those last minute gifts from your list?  I am all done with my shopping, but have lots of wrapping to do.  Love the shopping part, but I drag my feet when it comes to wrapping(especially the odd shaped ones).  Just a couple of gift card holders to make and double checked my list in case I forgot someone.  That is the worst during Christmas shopping....just when you thought all the shopping is done and then find out you forgot someone.  Now you have to fight street traffic and store traffic....ugh!  Well, I hope this is not the case for all of you.  That being said...HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS! Ü

Now on to this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches....we can't wait to see your project.  Hope you'll play along!

Here's a card I made using some chipboard stickers.  I rounded the two corners using my corner chomper.  The papers were sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink.  The chipboard stickers were so white, I sponged them also with the distress ink...it looks so much better against the kraft.  Plus it looks more vintage...love it.

Supplies~
paper: Holly Day Wishes{Recollections}
tools; poinsettia die{Magnolia Doohickey}
misc: Santa chipboard stickers{Recollections}; brads{Lasting Impressions}

DT: Unscripted Sketches+piggyback challenge

Oh boy, can't believe Christmas is just ten days away!  I still have some Christmas cards to send out.  This year, I'm only sending out just a handful of cards.  I've made another holiday card using this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches.  There is a piggyback challenge to go along with the sketch..."alter the circle".

piggyback challenge: do something with the circle-distress, tear, layer{make it unique}

For my card, I chose to altered the circle by adhering a layer of glass glitter.  You can find the glitter HERE.  Then added a snowflake embellishment on top.  I simply cut two triangles from the paper collection and sponged with tattered rose distress ink.  The background paper is sponged with aged mahogany and tattered rose.  You can't tell from the picture, but I sprayed goosebump spray in matte before sponging the paper.

Supplies~
paper: winterland{Fancy Pants Designs}
sentiment: Best Wishes{Hero Arts}
tools: 1 3/4" circle, 2" scallop circle{SU}
misc: snowflake{Jolee}; pink glass glitter{GlitterandKitsch}; matte goosebump stray

Here's my project this week....
This Christmas, I'm going to hand out gift cards in this little box.   I cut the top and bottom of the label so it will fit on the flap.  In order for the flap to close, I stuck a removable adhesive...but I think I'll switch it to circle velcro.
 I also made a card to go inside and used my notch punch to hold the gift card in place.

Supplies~
paper: O' Christmas Tree paper stack{Recollections}
image: Kiss Me{Penny Black}; sweet season{SU}; holiday greetings{Wordsworth}
tools: decorative label, notch punch, 1 3/8 circle punch & 1 1/2 scallop circle punch{SU}; box with scallop flap{Sizzix}

Now, let's get to our next sketch challenge from Unscripted Sketches....we had some wonderful entries for the last sketch.  I can't wait to see this week's creations!

I made this CAS card using the mat stack, Botanical Noel.  For the sentiment, I die cut the shape using gold shimmer paper from my paper stash.  The center design paper was also layered with the gold paper.  I love the shape of the poinsettia...this is one of my favorite dies.  This can also be used as leaves on a flower.
