DT: Red Carpet Studio~Disneyland Layout

We have a great layout challenge this week at Red Carpet Studio...."Anything Goes Disney".  Create anything with a Disney-theme.  Get creative and hope you'll join us!
Our sponsor is

The prize: $25 gift certificate

Last year, my friend and I decided to get annual passes.  We both had time during the week days, so why not spend it at the Happiest Place on Earth!  We visited the park about four times and got our monies worth.  On our first visit, we each bought a chain bracelet and for each visit added a Disney charm to it.  This would be something to remember our Disney trips.

This layout is on the last time we went to Disneyland.  I had some older pattern paper in my stash that was perfect for the layout.  I used mostly themed stickers and made a bubble sticker using my newest toy from Epiphany Crafts.  I took a Mickey Mouse photo corner and removed the backing to use as an embellishment.  It's layered on top of a laser-cut heart doily I had in my stash.

other challenges:
Sketchbook 365
Supplies~
dies: round banner trio & fishtail flags{MFT}; labels 15{Spellbinders}
tool: round bubble caps{Epiphany Crafts}

Sweet Shop Sketch 177~Go Nuts!

I created this card for The Sweet Shop Sketch{aka SSS} Challenge and DT call. Here's the sketch for this week....
And this is my take on the sketch...

I love this die and stamp set!  The sentiments are so adorable and goes perfectly with the acorn die.  I got this mainly because of the birthday sentiments and the cute smiley expressions. Ü
I used mainly scraps left over from older projects..I just wanted to get rid of the loose papers I had on my desk.  This card will go the one of my male cousins, so the colors are more neutral.  I used an embossing plate on the card base.  You can't see the embossing from the first picture, but just slightly from the second.

Supplies~
papers: Today.Tomorrow.Forever
stamp/die set:  acorn die & stamp set{Lil' Inker Design}
tools: texture place collection-frames 1 {Lil' Inker Design}; fishtail flags{MFT}

DT: Red Carpet Studio~seeing stars

It's time for another layout challenge at Red Carpet Studio.  This week we have a sketch challenge and the theme is "Seeing Stars".
This week's sponsor: Scraptastical Kreations
prize: a $15 gift certificate.

I've been wanting to do a layout of our Boxer/Lab mix, Scooby for a while.  And this layout is of him with his cousin, Larry{my sister's animal baby}.  When I took these pictures, it was surprising how Scooby just sat next to Larry. He's usually pushing Lars around the house whenever he can.  Scooby's not aggressive....it's just that Larry's a wimpy dog. LOL {my sister's not going to be happy I said that}  They're both waiting for my sister to come home and look so cute staring out the door.
This is a 8x8 layout using a scrapbook kit from Deja Views.  It's a kit from a few years ago I got on clearance at Michael's.  It comes with a pad of paper and some 12x12 sheets.  The stars and white foam Thickers are from my stash.  And  the papers were inked with walnut distress ink.

Supplies~
paper: Dog Days scrapbook kit{Deja Views}
misc: giggles foam Thickers{American Crafts}; doily

DT: Stamptacular Sunday~for you

Hi everyone!  We've got another fun challenge for you at Stamptacular Sunday.  This week's challenge is..."Less is More".  In other words, create a simple, but elegant card.  Our wonderful sponsor for the week is Bugaboo.  Hope you'll play along with us...can't wait to see your card!

This card is not your standard size card.  It measures 3.25x5...this size is great for Martha Stewart border punches.  The rainbow & cloud die is a recent purchase and I just love it! The picture below is the inside of the card with a sentiment from the stamp set.
Supplies~
paper: Today.Tomorrow.Forever{Recollections}
stamps: Love Letter Kaylee{Some Odd Girl}; rainbow & cloud stamp set{Lil' Inker Designs}

I think this image is adorable from Sassy Cheryl's.  Their digi stamps are so cute and fun to color.  I created the sentiment on my computer and inked it with spun sugar distress ink.  The pattern papers are from two sheets, using both front and back.  I ♥ double-sided paper! Ü

My favorite day of the year....

Hi everyone!  Today is my favorite day of the year....it's my BIRTHDAY!  Woohoo...I'm a year older! LOL  I don't know anyone who gets excited about getting older.  For me, I've never had an issue about getting older.  That's just part of life and why not just embrace it, right?  I am blessed with good health and wonderful family and friends beside me.  I'm looking forward to this year and what God has planned for me.

Don't forget you still have time to enter my birthday blog candy giveaway.  Remember, when we reach 100 followers by the deadline, I'll add another goodie to the giveaway. Ü

DT: Stamptacular Sunday

Time for another challenge at Stamptacular Sunday!  And this week, the challenge is "anything BUT a card"!  How fun is that?!  If you have a project in mind, then this is the challenge for you!  We can't wait to see it, so stop by the blog and link your submission.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is Digi Doodle Shop.
I had bought this mini chalkboard easel at Michael's a while back to alter.  I painted the easel with Martha Stewart Satin paint in Hydrangea Purple.  I don't use the color purple very often on my projects, but I really like this shade.  All the die cuts are Magnolia Doohickey dies.  I just love this paper collection...adorable designs and soft shades of summer is how I would describe the colors in this collection.  I used the left over scraps from a project I just finished putting together.  I can't wait to show you...it's part of my new addiction/obsession. Ü  I will post that real soon.

Supplies~
paper: Neapolitan Collection{Recollections}
stamp: Celebration Tilda{Magnolia}
dies: dragonfly, berry lace, flag{Magnolia}
misc: flowers{I Am Roses}; foam Thickers; pearls{Recollections}

For this week's sketch, I created a page for my Smash Book.  I'm really getting into it...constantly thinking about what to smash about next.  I can see why people love the Smash Books and Daybooks.  And now when I'm shopping for my craft, I think "smash*ing" goodies.  I'm wishing for a Instax mini camera for my birthday. *keep my fingers crossed* Ü
