I made two different types of treat bags...one is a box in a bag {feminine} and the other is a treat box {masculine}.  You can find the tutorials on Splitcoaststampers{dot}com.

this week's fabulous prizes are donated by:
prize: $15 gift certificate
AND
prize: winner's choice of 7 digis

For my project, I decided to make this tag.  I cut the tag out using Tim Holtz, Tag & Bookplates.  The backing is the packing cardboard from an EK Success border punch.  It's sturdy enough to adhere even the heaviest of embellishments.  The two big flowers I paper pieced and inked around the edge with Copics marker.  Then layered them with foam tape.  Since the butterflies would blend with the background, I colored the edge with Copics as well.  I added Stickles to the sprigs and to the orange flower I had stamped with distress ink.  And to finish off the tag, I handmade the charm to coordinate with the color combo.
Supplies~
pp: Mango Frost Stack{DCWV}
stamp set: Sunny Days{Verve}
dies/punch: leafy sprigs, charming oval{Verve}; royal butterfly{MS}
inks: onyx black{Versafine}; spiced marmalade{Tim Holtz}; W3 &100{Copics}
misc: frosted lace & spiced marmalade{Stickles}; pearl flourish{Recollection}; moss green seam binding; orange buttons{Michaels}; twine

Altered Box & Mini Album

This is an altered box and a mini album I created.  The box is by Petaloo and as you can see it's very bright.  I painted the box with black paint...needed a couple of layers to completely cover the bright pink.

After painting the box, I used Shimmerz mist to give it a distress look.  Then added some trim around the box and adhered a picture frame I altered on top. To keep the box closed, I fastened a black rubber band and a hitch post.  The paper roses were glimmer misted and added some glossy accent to look like dew drops.  I love how flowers look when they're wet.  And finally, I glued wooden knobs to the bottom of the box.
And here's the finished box:

DP: (Cocoa Mint-Cloud 9)
CS: Very Vanilla (SU)
mists: wheatfields (GM); (Vertigre-Shimmerz Vibez)

dies: stamp & tags #4 (Sizzix); Spellbinders (label two)
