DT:Unscripted Sketches~Thank you berry much!

Hi everyone...happy Saturday!  Hope you enjoy the weekend.  For us, it's going to be a weekend of just relaxing.  I'll be in my craft room working on some DT projects.  What a way to relax!

We have a new sketch at Unscripted Sketches this week!  This sketch has so many possibilities. We can't wait to see your project.

Here's my take...I made this CAS card.  I love this paper collection...the colors and patterns are so my style.  This card will go to my in-laws for the wonderful birthday gifts.
Supplies~
paper: Neapolitan
sentiment: Savvy Stamps

Viva La Verve! Challenge - week 1

For the month of January, there's a sketch challenge each week.  All four cards must be uploaded by midnight CST on February 2nd.(click here for details) The winner will receive $100 gift certificate to Verve!  Wow...that is an amazing prize!  Here's week 1 sketch.....

I used my Tim Holtz ruler and pierced around the edge to all the pattern papers.  Then inked with frayed burlap. I love the tinsel trim and thought it went well with the colors.  The sentiment is adhered with foam tape and also the layers underneath as well.
Supplies~
pp: DCWV{The French Country Stack}
stamp: Verve{sweet treats}

Thank You

This month I'm sending a lot of "thank you" cards for all the holiday gifts we received....I know that it's a bit late, but I feel that it's better to be late than not sending it at all.  So, here's a card I made using an older pattern paper from my stash and this week's Mojo Monday sketch:

The card is pretty simple-the heart is adhered with foam tape to give it some lift from the button.  I embossed the image with gold embossing powder and used the same image around the sentiment.
other challenges:
The Play Date Cafeburgundy, gold, plum
Sweet Stampin' ~ all that glitters
Catered Crop ~ button
Supplies~
pp: Sandy Lion{Red Damask}; DeNami{Gold}; Bazzill{plum tree}
stamps/inks: SU{fresh vintage, teeny tiny wishes/eggplant eny, baroque burgundy}
dies/punches: MS{vintage floral}; Spellbinders{circle, scallop circle}; McGill{file tab punch}
misc: Recollection{glitter heart}, my stash{button}, embossing powder{honey}

Little Thanks

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today, I stayed in my craft room cleaning & creating!  I love days like this!  I wish I didn't have to clean, but it was long over due! I had only a foot of working space on my desk and the rest was just a mess. LOL  So after an hour of cleaning and somewhat organized, here's a card I created:

I've cut the flower petals from the designer paper series, Play Date and ran it through my crimper. Then inked with tempting turquoise.  On the lower half of the card, I swiped ink over the embossed area to give some interest.  To the white seam binding, I ran wild wasabi ink across it several times.  After drying it with my heat gun, stamped with Stazon.  For the fabric flower, I first pulled on the edge to get create some fringe.  I ran a stitch along the center of the fabric and gathered it together.  I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

The two challenges I use are Card Patterns & Colour Q:

Supplies~all Stampin Up products unless noted
paper: Play Date Designer Series; pattern stack-subtles(wild wasabi) ; tangerine tango, basic black, whisper white
stamps: matchbox messages; thoughtful friend builder wheel
punches/embossing folders: eyelet border; flower garden; swiss dots{Cuttlebug}
inks/markers: wild wasabi, tempting turquoise, tangerine tango, basic black
misc{not SU}: seam binding, black satin fabric, gell glitter pen
