Altered Recipe Box

I've had this recipe box for a while and I finally decided to alter it as a gift to a friend.  Instead of recipes, I included some goodies for her to use on her crafting projects.

I love how the box turned out...so shabby chic!  I just wished I had made one to keep.  The edges were inked with Walnut Stain. This is the front of the box...added Prima swirl and TH's bookplate.  The stamp says "friends make life blossom".  I thought it went perfectly since I used tons of flowers.

This is the top view and all the flowers are from I Am Roses...I just love them! I used the spiral blossom die for the flower next to the swirl.  It was cut using the same paper collection as the box.

These are the side views of the box.  I added a fabric flower with Prima pearl center and skeleton leaves .

Here's the back of the box...kept it plain.  The trim is beige with pearl in the center of every other flower.  I love this trim...love the details!

For the inside of the box, I just adhered design paper and made a little pocket with a tag.  I wrote a very short message to my friend since the tag was so small.

Cake Pop Centerpiece

I made this display of cake pops for a Christmas get together. Check out bakerella.com on how to create these cuties. I dipped the pops in different colored chocolate and wrapped them individually, tied with ribbon.

The flower is layered using Arlene's technique and misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang.  I added some Christmas decorations and green crystal flowers.  The top of the container is lined with pleated trim and bling trim.

To keep the pops in place, I've put dry floral foam inside and glued two type of moss on top.  In the center is a Christmas decoration.

Supplies~
pp: Recollection (Believe) paperstack
punch: MS (snowflake trim)
mists: LSG (Tiffany's Blue, Golden Sleigh Bells)
flowers: I Am Roses (big white puffy daisies)
misc: tulle, Christmas decor, KARLAS001(beige pleated trim, large green crystal butterflykisses flowers, cynthialoowho's blingy silver mesh)

Christmas Card

Another week of Mojo Monday....this particular card was made using this sketch:
I decided to make a 6x6 card for my Secret Santa at LSH, using the MME pack (Merry days of Christmas).  I inked the inside of the tree with walnut stain and adhered the banner ribbon with the sentiment.  Then added some stamens and a bling flower behind the ribbon.  Around the border, I glued some glass glitter that I got on Etsy (GlitterandKitsch)with gloss accent.

Christmas Tag

I can't believe December is here....the past 11 months just flew by.  Time to bring out the holiday decorations and gather wish lists from the family.  I will be giving some handmade gifts this year....and this tag is for a Secret Santa Swap at A Lil Scrap of Heaven:

I used TH tag die and inked the edges with festive berries(new holiday ink) and brown paint.  The winter white seam binding was dyed with the holiday distress inks (festive berries & iced spruce).  I love these colors!
back
I pulled the berry spray apart and glued a couple with some stamens.  The border is covered with Stickles.
The bell punches are inked with walnut stain and covered with the liquid applique to look like snow.
The word "joy" is adhered with chipboard to give some dimension and I added rock candy stickles.
