Anniversary Card

I used a Mojo sketch to make an anniversary card for our friends.  It was too late for me to participate in the challenge, but I thought this was the perfect sketch for the card.  Since I was hand delivering the card {meeting them in Vegas} I wanted to make the card a bit "chunky" with embellies.

Happy Anniversary

I didn't want to make it too "girly" because the card is for the couple.  But I wanted to use one the my flowers i just made on the card....hope it's not too feminine. The design paper is by Memory Box, Rhubarb Tart...super cute!  Instead of the oval shape, I used my Spellbinder's rectangle die.  The photo of the two hearts is actually a sticker.  I wanted to add the sentiment "true love" to the  front of the card using my dyno caption maker.  But, I just couldn't figure out how to load the refill!  I never used it before so it would have been my first time.  Well, I finally figured it out, but it was too late to add it.  Inside the card, I stamped Happy Anniversary.

I distressed the sticker with the Tonic Retractable Scratcher

This is a handmade lollipop flower from satin fabric, dusted some diamond dust and added pearl beads in the center.

July Mini Page Swap~Boy

When I signed up for the girl mini page swap, I had to sign up for the boy mini because the collection is so cute.  So, here's my July Boy Mini Page.  Check out Keep On Scrappin for montly swaps. The challenge was to distress, so I used my distress inks and NO mists! Yikes, I need my mists!! {haha} That was a challenge...lol!

front page
I used the same DP{Jack & Jill} from Graphic 45, Playtimes Past Collection.  To make the small pocket, I used a toilet paper roll and hand stitched the bottom with black embroidery floss.  The front frame is a Cuttlebug die and inked with Weathered Wood distress ink.  It's adhered with foam tape to insert a photo.

The hand cut tag's embellished with a jumper punch and a wire hanger. Also added some feathers to the corner of the pocket.  I stamped around the tag {front & back} with an alphabet border stamp in Vintage Photo distress ink.

back page

Front of the flap, added a tag from the collection.  Used a chain punch as a pocket for the inside of the page.  I hand cut the two tags-{blue} added a die from the collection to the corner and a silver star brad on top that I alcohol inked. {yellow} punched a button to the corner of the tag and clipped a clothes pin to the top.  The journalling tag I added since it went great with the collection.

*All the papers are distress inked with Vintage Photo*

July Mini Page Swap~Girl

Here's my mini page I did for July's Mini Page Swap on Keep on Scrappin.  If you love Graphic 45 ( and who doesn't right?), there's a swap each month so check it out. The collection for the month was Playtimes Past.  I chose to use the design paper, Jack & Jill.

This is the front page
The page size is 4x4, on medium weight chipboard.  I painted the chipboard with acrylic paint, antique white and dry embossed using a border stamp with distressing powder, walnut stain.  The design paper is misted with old lace and while still wet, I curled in the edges.

Closeup pics:
This is a handmade rose using cardstock.  The petals are misted with old lace and added glossy accents to look like rain drops.  I added a doily to the back of the rose. It's dabbed with some Starburst Stains and inked with walnut stain around the edge.
The top rosette was misted with Suede, originally it was ivory. For the red rosette, I adhered Diamond Dust with some Glossy Accent.  I simply curled the green wires around my stylus to give them some interest.

Here's the back page
The page was distress with Vintage Photo along the edge.  The mini envelope is from a punch and made a note card to journal.
The design paper was cut to a longer size so I can fold it over to make a flap.  Here you can add a photo or use to journal.

paper: DP(Graphic 45's Playtimes Past Collection-Jack & Jill); cs (Bazzill); Lasting Impression (Uptown Pinstripe)
stamps: Recollection (Flourishy); 7 Gypsies (Journal stamp set)
Glimmer Mist: Old Lace, Suede
Starburst Stains: Glory of the Sea Gold, Sea Mint Green (purchase @ Lindy's Stamp Gang)

In the Summertime

Kenny K's challenge for this week is In the Summertime.  Just so happens that I bought this DP from my LS...how funny is that?! LOL
Anyhoo, I chose one of the Glam Gang...Miss Thang. I luv coloring with my copics! I'm below beginner's level, so I've made many mistakes I'm sure.

The sunglasses and flip flops are from the DP-Sqeeze Me from BoBunny.  I adhered Miss Thang with foam tape to give some dimension to the card.
Closeups:
With the frame, I distress inked it with fired brick and age mahogany. Then painted with distress ink crackle paint in rock candy.  I love this paint!!  You have to put a thick layer for large crackle effect.
Here's another shot of the frame
The sun punch is from EK Success.  I stamped the sentiment on DP-Sqeeze Me from BoBunny.

Supplies~
copics: skin (R00,E00,E95) ; hair (YR23, E29, E47); lips (R29); eyes (E47); clothes (G24, G40, G82); shoes (BG10,  BG05,C6, C10)
DP: BoBunny (Sunkissed Party; Sunkissed Sqeeze Me)
