ColourQ #95

I just love this year's new in colors from Stampin Up!  They screams the tropics...hence the names. Ü  I finally got to use the new colors and cardstock.  I've been hording them to use on the perfect card/project.  This is a card I made for someone's birthday that's coming up real soon....
Everything I've used are from Stampin Up except the lacey circle dies {Spellbinders}.

TGF-Heart Journal

Hey Everyone!  I'm so excited to share with you this news- I'll be participating in a 23-week journaling class from The Greeting Farm!  I can't wait to get started! Woohoo!!  My very first art journal....anxious to jump right in and let my creativity flow. Ü

Mojo Monday 201

Another Mojo sketch...I needed a quick card for a niece's high school graduation. I also used last week's color challenge from Utah Divas International:

I don't know where I got the idea of the owl, I wish I could give credit where it's due...because it's so cute!
All the supplies are Stampin Up...except the scallop die {Spellbinders} again.  It seems like I have to use Spellbinders in all my projects. I ♥ Spellbinders ! LOL

Heart Journaling - week 1

The Greeting Farm is doing a class on art journaling...for the next 23 weeks!  I am super excited because (1) I am one of the 100+ students participating, (2) I've NEVER art journaled before, and (3) I'm finally going to finish a project from start to finish! Ü  So, stop by each week and see what I've created for the class.
Here's the 2 page spread for week 1 - Spread your wings
I've used a variety of acrylic paints and stamps.  I used Penny Black's Cherry Blossom stamp...which I love!  The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart.  I wanted to use a TGF stamp, so I chose the set Spotlight.  The sentiment I used on the second page says:
" Just living is not enough
said the butterfly.
One must have sunshine,
freedom, and a little flower"
I wrote a message to myself-Just living is not enough, learn to spread my wings & take chances. Just be Free.  This was so much fun....I can't wait for the next assignment!

Easel Card

My MIL's birthday is just around the corner and so I wanted to make a special card for her.  I decided to combine two challenges-Mojo Monday & Catered Crop

This is a 4 1/4 card using Spellbinder's Scallop die.  I used the largest size from the dies.  I love how it turned out and can't wait to make more easel cards...I'm so hooked!
  • Colors – red, white, green, blue, gray, kraft
  • Stamps and Stickers – strawberries, sentiment, aliens/monsters, scientists or science subjects
  • Patterns – circles, checked/gingham, scallops
  • Color Mediums – markers (ProMarker, Copics, White Signo Pen)
  • Embellishments – clear gloss, glitter, charms, brads, ribbon
  • Tools – corner rounder punch, border punch, die cut shapes
  • Techniques – faux stitching, doodling/drawing, make an easel card
