Preview~my December Daily 2012

I can't believe this is the last day of November...where did the month go?!  It's pretty scary how fast the days are flying by.  I am excited for what's in store for the month of December and look forward to the new year.  I have so many projects in my head for next year....can't wait to share them with you.

I am super excited to share the cover of my DD 2012{December Daily}.  I tried to make one last year, but it just didn't happen.  When I decided to make one, it was already too late.  I ended up trying to "catch up" to the weeks prior and just gave up.  So this year, I am prepared and ready to start documenting the month of December.
I'm really getting into creating daybooks and "smashing".  I've already collected five smash books!  It's so much fun and so different from scrapbooking.  I've created monthly daybooks for the past few months starting with September.  And have to say the day is more enjoyable...I am much more active and taking time to smell the roses!
I'll share my DD pages as often as I can....

DT: Unscripted Sketches~Merry & Bright card

Hi everyone...Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  We have another sketch challenge at Unscripted Sketches

I made two cards using this week's challenge.  For the first card, embellishments from Recollections.  The sentiment is from Imaginince.  I first embossed the frame and cut out the center for the sentiment.
I first created this card before going with the card above.  After everything was adhered down, it looked too plain for me.  These embellishments are also from Recollections.

Supplies~
stamps: snag 'em stamps{Imaginisce}
tools: textured impressions frames{SU}
misc: foam embellishments{Recollections}

DT: Stamptacular Sunday~winter bliss card

Hi everyone!  This week's challenge at Stamptacular Sunday is...."Winter Bliss".  Simply create a project or card with a winter scene.  Oh, and if you create a scene all on your own, your name will be entered three times!  We look forward to seeing your project...hope you'll play along!

This week's sponsor:
Saturated Canary
prize: choice of 2 digi stamps

For my cards, I used an older stamp from Penny Black.  This first card, I stamped on kraft paper from Core'dinations.  The design papers are from the paper collection, Jingle{LilyBee Design}The sentiment is from a stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs.  The border punch I used is the Snow Flurry from Martha Stewart and the image is layered with the Spellbinders die, lacey circle.  To finish off the card, I hand stitched using some dark brown twine and added pearl adhesives to the two corners.
I decided to make this second card using the same image, but on white cardstock.  The design papers are from last year's paper collection, Believe{Recollection}.  I used a Sizzix die, Christmas tree #2 and trimmed the bottom of the tree.  The paper is the Whitewash Colorcore{Core'dinations} and ran it through with the swiss dot embossing folder.  To bring out the green cardstock, I sanded the paper a few times.

Supplies~

paper: Believe{Recollections}; Jingle{LilyBee Design}; Whitewash{Core'dinations}
image: Wishing...{Penny Black}; Instant Camera: Christmas stamp set{Lil' Inker Designs}; itty bitty background stamp set{SU}

Here's my card... I used this image from Saturated Canary.  Perfect for this week's movie release, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2.  For my ingredients, I used ribbon, pearls, and die.  I didn't want to cover the checkered heart, so I cut around the heart and slid the image behind it.

DT: Red Carpet Studio~Our Boy layout

Happy Sunday!  Here is this week's challenge from Red Carpet Studio...."a layout of a pet or animal"
Sponsor: Stamp N Doodle
Prize: 2 digi stamps of winner's choice

I did this layout of our boy, Scooby.  He's a boxer/lab mix and such a loveable dog.  When our cat sleeps in his bed, he would go and sleep in hers.  It's a funny sight, seeing an 85 lb dog squeezing himself into a small bed.  When they're not sleeping together, we can find them in each others bed.

This layout is for the following challenge:

paper: Ice Cream Parlor DPS{SU}
tools: Classic Wreath Lucky 8 punch{We R Memory Keepers}; stitched sentiment flag die{Lil' Inker Designs}
misc: flowers{Prima, Recollections}; Elm Thickers{American Crafts}
